Dr. Kari Brawley
In June of 2015 Dr. Brawley acquired the practice after working as an associate for 9 years.
Dr. Brawley was born and raised in Smithville, Texas. She graduated from Smithville High School in 1998. She then attended Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University, where she received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002.
Dr. Brawley entered dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May of 2005.
Dr. Brawley currently resides in La Grange with her husband Curtis and two daughters, Kylin and Kyndal. Curtis is currently the Practice Manager. Both girls attend La Grange ISD and are active in many extra-curricular activities.
Dr. Brawley is an active member of the local and dental communities. You will see her around the school supporting and sponsoring kids in any way she can. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Mommy Dentist in Business and Fortune Management.
In her spare time, Dr. Brawley enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her favorited Labrador, Rymi! She loves to travel and loves all things Disney. She also enjoys watching her girls in all of their activities which include volleyball, softball, track, and cheerleading.
Dr. Brawley is very dedicated to creating outstanding smiles and great oral health for her patients, with a gentle touch.
Dr. Kalimuddin
Dr. Kalimuddin graduated from Stony Brook University with a dual degree in Biology and Business. After attending dental school at the University at Buffalo he did a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital, a trauma one center with a focus on medically complex patients and an emphasis on helping the underserved community. Dr. Kalimuddin has served as the director of Lifelong community clinic in Berkeley, California and joins us with over 5 years of private practice experience. Dr. Kalimuddin enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife.
Dr. Ali Arastu
Dr. Ali Arastu was raised in San Antonio, Texas from the age of 2 after his parents transferred there due to his mother’s work as a United States Air Force Officer. He attended Boston University for his undergraduate studies, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Civilizations and Religion. He attended dental school at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2011. He received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for his work as a student in the field of Periodontology. He also received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Award for his work as a student in the field of Pediatric Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in the field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in 2014 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also received a Master’s degree, studying the use of Lasers in periodontal therapy.
Dr. Arastu moved to Philadelphia in 2014 while his wife completed her training in the medical field. While there, he worked in private practice as a periodontist for the next 6 years. He also taught as a part-time faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics. He taught both clinical periodontics and didactic classes in classic and current periodontal literature. In 2018 he received the J George Coslet Distinguished Teaching Award from UPENN Department of Periodontics. In 2019, he received the American Academy of Periodontics Educator Award for his work at UPENN. Teaching has always been, and will always be his passion.
He is blessed with a wife, who is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist in the greater Austin area, and two daughters. Dr. Arastu loves outdoor adventures with the family, and studying film and the history of cinema. Let him know what your favorite movie is when you meet him! Curtis - Practice Manager
Curtis graduated from Tarleton State University in 2002 with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Wildlife Management. He joined the team at Brawley Dental in July of 2015, working mostly behind the scenes, after his wife, Dr. Kari Brawley purchased the practice. They have two daughters Kylin and Kyndal. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys coaching his daughters softball teams during the fall and spring.
Dawn - Registered Dental Assistant
Dawn lives in Shiner, Texas with her husband Robbie and two children Jake and Brooke. Dawn has been working in the dental field for 11 years now and loves what she does. Dawn and her family enjoy being outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and boating. Dawn and her husband love taking their children to different places and showing them the outdoors and all the world has to offer.
Geneva Hines - Registered Dental Assistant
Geneva started working in the dental field in 2010 and found her true passion being a registered dental assistant.
She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have three boys, Braylon, Jaxon & Elijah. They recently moved to Flatonia and enjoy living the country life and remodeling their farmhouse. In her spare time you can find her spending time with her family, loving on her chickens, reading, and spending time outdoors.
Crystal M- Registered Dental Hygienist
Crystal graduated from the Wharton County Junior College Dental Hygiene Program in 2002 and has been practicing with Dr. Brawley since her graduation. Crystal is from Chappell Hill where she lives on a small farm with her husband Kelvin and has three children, Chesley, Keely, and Kord.
Chesley is a 2017 graduate of Texas A&M and is an Agriculture Teacher in Clearlake ISD. She is currently pursuing her master's in AG Education at Texas Tech Univerisity. Keely and Kord are both active in 4-H and FFA and attend Brenham High School.
She enjoys spending time with her family and her kids are active with showing market steers all over Texas. She has a love for the Texas 4-H Program and is a club leader in Washington County. She strives to make all of her patients feel secure and appreciated in the dental office.
Crystal B - Registered Dental Hygienist
Crystal was born and raised in Bay City, TX moved to Austin in 2004, and relocated to Hallettsville in 2021. She has been in the dental field since 1999. She began as a chairside assistant in general dentistry, moving on to oral surgery. She decided to further her dental career and received her dental hygiene degree in 2007 from Austin Community College.

Outside of dentistry Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband Bryan and their two children, Brett and Emma. She loves hiking, camping, and doing anything outdoors.
Kayla - Registered Dental Hygienist
Kayla currently resides in Fayetteville, Texas with her husband David, who is a Houston Firefighter, and her daughters Ava and Lilly. Kayla Grew up in the Dallas area and went to dental hygiene school at Tarrant County College and graduated in 2004. Kayla and her family love their life in the country and all the simple things it has to offer. They just completed the remodel of their 100 year-old farmhouse. She loves spending time with her family, going camping, playing outdoors and just sitting on the porch swing.
Dental hygiene has been Kayla’s passion for 17 years. She enjoys meeting different people and helping them accomplish their oral health goals.
Jamie - Registered Dental Hygienist
Jamie Murphy was born and raised in La Grange, TX and is the daughter of Pat and Mary Janca. Jamie graduated La Grange High School in 2005 and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Wharton County Junior College in 2008. Jamie joined our practice in 2019, but prior to that she commuted and worked in Bastrop for the last 11 years.
Jamie and her husband, Shane Murphy of La Grange, were married in 2012. They reside here in La Grange along with their two children. Their daughter Langley is 6 and their son Landry is 3 ½. Jamie and her family delight in spending as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying their newly built home and working on their land. She also enjoys watching football, baseball and spending time at deer camp.
ASHLEY - Office Manager
Ashley was born and raised in La Grange, Texas. She moved to the Serbin area in 2006 when she married her husband, Brad. They have one child, a daughter Kylie. Ashley has been working at Brawley Dental since 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, competing in cookoffs with her husband, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
LINDSEY - BUSINESS ASSISTANT
Lindsey moved to La Grange in 2020 with her husband Justin and their two kids Penelope and McCoy to get back to "small town living." This is Lindsey's first time working in the dental field and has a 15+ year background working in accounting and bookkeeping. In Lindsey's spare time, her and her family spend their days at their deer lease in Groveton or visiting family.
Bailey - Business Assistant
Bailey moved to La Grange this year (2023) with daughters Harper and Finley to be closer to family. Bailey has been in the dental field for 10+ years. Bailey started out as an RDA and is now front office. In Bailey's spare time, she enjoys hanging out at the ranch with her girls and her family.
AUTUMN - Registered Dental Assistant
Autumn is a dedicated and experienced dental assistant with a passion for patient care and oral health. With seven years of experience in the dental field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every aspect of her work.
Autumn resides in Brenham, were she was born and raised. When she is not assisting patients in achieving their dental goals, she loves spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Breggy.
